How the Community Resource Center Helps

As the adverse learning impact of the COVID-19 pandemic became clear, we opened the Community Resource Center to offer tutoring to students at Upper Allen Elementary School (grades 1-3) and Elmwood Academy (grades 4-5), schools within walking distance of the building. Its central location makes it easily accessible for students and families in the area.

Future Plans & How You Can Help

With the tutoring program well underway and serving up to 40 students per week, we are actively considering additional services and programs to assist Cumberland Pointe neighbors at this location. It is paramount that the Community Resource Center initiative emphasizes input from our neighbors, who know best what they need. This will require listening ears, flexibility and an unwavering commitment to seek the good of our neighbors alongside community partners.
